Carrowbreck House

Sotham Engineering Services Ltd are pleased to be working with Pentaco as the main contractor for Broadland District Council to provide a training Centre for young and jobless trainee’s between the ages of 19 and 24 years of age.

The BCTS “Our House” initiative is renovating a run-down, seven-bedroom house near Norwich which sits in five acres of grounds. It was originally built in 1923 and was originally the home of the superintendent at Hellesdon Hospital and his family. The building was mothballed by its owners, the Norfolk and Waveney Mental Health Trust in 2005 and stood empty and boarded up until the Broadland project began.

The refit starts from basics, with the building being completely gutted, only leaving bare brick walls and floor boards intact internally.

From a recent part completed plant room our new installation connects the new under floor heating to the underground heat source pump, along with all new plumbing, sanitaryware, general power, lighting, data, security systems.

The design and build project has an M&E value circa £70k and the building is due for completion Autumn 2014.
