Domestic/Commercial Gas Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified domestic/commercial gas engineer to join our small works/maintenance division covering Cambridge and surrounding areas. Candidates should be conversant with heating & plumbing systems, capable of working independently and have good communication skills. HVAC experience is preferred however would consider someone with experience of a similar role within the industry.

As a skilled domestic/commercial gas engineer you will be required to carry out the following:

– Ability to work un-supervised.
– Carry out scheduled servicing.
– PPM & reactive maintenance.
– Carry out all minor/remedial works.
– Good problem solving/troubleshooting.
– Complete (small/medium) installations.
– Read drawings.
– Good communication.
– Some testing and purging of larger systems for our contracts division.

Pipefitters, Welders, Electricians and Plumbers

Due to continuing expansion, we currently have vacancies at both Cambridge and Norwich, for pipe-fitters, welders, electricians and plumbers of all grades, including Supervisors and Foremen. This is to undertake work on a variety of projects local to or within Cambridge and Norwich, including new build and refurbishment, in the healthcare, education and commercial sectors.

Senior Electricians

Sotham Engineering is looking to recruit approved electricians for senior and supervisory roles within the Cambridge business.

– Candidates will need to be flexible and keen to take on responsibility.
– SSSTS preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
– Good rates of pay and remuneration in line with the JIB determination.
– Company transport will be provided.

The role will suit someone that wants to progress their career in electrical contracting.
